Back to College Numismatic Sale – 70% off books, 15% off currency, and an 8% off coupon for most other eBay listings

My Christmas break is just about over and will be heading back to Seton Hall University to begin the Spring semester. NGC was kind enough to invite me back for my fourth internship over the holidays and I capped it off by visiting the FUN show in Orlando. During my four internships at NGC, I have gained a lot of numismatic knowledge while becoming friends with some outstanding people. I am looking forward to heading back down to Sarasota this summer and thank NGC for the opportunity.

I have spent the past week purchasing a great amount of new inventory for my eBay store. Added more than 500 listings over the past few days including US and world coins, exonumia, a little bit of currency and some collector bullion coins.

I have marked down all numismatic books 70% and US and world currency 15%.

You can use this coupon code for all other listings except bullion – BACKCOLLEGE8

I appreciate you taking the time to visit my store and making purchases. I do combine ship so please take a look at all of the categories you may have an interest. Ship both domestically and internationally.

Lastly, my next article in The Numismatist will appear in the February issue which should be mailed in the next couple of weeks.

So-called dollars and more books added to my eBay store

I know I have not written an article in a long time. Right after finishing up my sophomore year at Seton Hall in May, I flew down to Sarasota to begin my second summer internship at NGC. Finished up last week and once again, I had a great time while increasing my numismatic knowledge. Mr. Rick Montgomery, President of NGC, and the entire staff made me feel welcomed. I hope to go back during my Christmas vacation.

During the internship, I had an opportunity to attend one week of the ANA’s Summer Seminars. It was my sixth Summer Seminar and I highly recommend all numismatists make it a point to add it to your bucket list of things to do.

While at the Summer Seminar, I purchased approximately 160 books during the ANA Library book sale. Many of those books have been listed on my eBay store. I invite you to take a look.

In regards to my eBay store, I just created a new category – So-called dollars. I have the pleasure of working with a well-known so-called dollar collector and dealer. Each month, I plan on listing up to 80 so-called dollars. The first 20 have just been listed. If you collect so-called dollars, I invite you to visit my store and follow it so you are notified when new listings go up.

Lastly, during the next two weeks before my junior year begins, I will be listing approximately 100 world and US coins, numismatic books, a lot of exonumia, and some bullion each day.

Click here to visit my eBay store: https://www.ebay.com/str/numismaticswithkenny

I am excited to share more than 19,000 items totaling over 21,000 coins, books, and exonumia have been sold since I opened the store three years ago. I truly appreciate all of you who have purchased items.

My latest article will be appearing in The Numismatist next month. Hope you will read it.

Enjoy the rest of the summer,

Kenny

1000+ US & World Numismatic Books for Sale

I recently purchased a collection of more than 1200 United States and World numismatic books covering a wide range of numismatic topics. Most books are in English but there are a number of books written in other languages.

I am in the process of listing the books on my eBay store. I anticipate it will take me two to three weeks to get all of the books listed. Here is a link that will take you directly to the numismatic book section of my numismatic eBay store:

https://www.ebay.com/str/numismaticswithkenny/Numismatic-Books-Literature/_i.html?_storecat=29010782014

I will write another post when I have finished adding all the listings but welcome you to view the listings I have up already. If you do not want to wait and desire a particular title, email me at numismatistkenny@gmail.com. I will let you know if I have that particular title(s) and what the cost will be.

All international sales will go through eBay’s International Shipping Program. eBay is responsible for determining fees/custom charges. I have no control over those costs.

United States buyers will find the shipping cost noted in the eBay listing. I do combine ship to keep shipping costs as low as possible. Additionally, many of the books have collector value in addition to their great information. I am pricing the books below what others are selling them for as the books were sold to me at a reasonable cost.

Thank you for reading and visiting my eBay store. After you have looked through the numismatic book listings, I invite you to view the more than 1500 coins and sets I have for sale.

The Cousins War – Pennies, Pounds, and Pesos Coin History – Numismatics with Kenny

I stopped by Pennies, Pounds, and Pesos, a local coin store in Media, Pennsylvania, today. I had my camera with me and I asked if Mr. George Mavrelos would like to make a video for my channel. Being the great guy he is, he said sure. Here he is talking about the Cousins War and its connection to numismatics. Also, stay tuned to take a peek at his new inventory. Hope you enjoy!

My email address if you have any questions or are interested in the life membership:

numismatistkenny@gmail.com

Hello, welcome to Numismatics with Kenny. My name is Kenny Sammut and I am a young numismatist and a volunteer District Representative as well as a Life Member of the American Numismatic Association. The American Numismatic Association or ANA for short is a nonprofit organization dedicated to educating and encouraging people to study and collect coins, paper money and related items.

I created this video for all collectors including children from 5 to 17 as well as seasoned numismatists to consider joining the ANA. There are a number of excellent benefits you will enjoy as a member and the cost to join is very reasonable.
Benefits include:

• Access to the largest lending numismatic library in the world
• Numismatic educational opportunities through the Florence Schook School of Numismatics
• Free admission to the Edward C Rochette Money Museum in Colorado Springs
• Free admission to the annual ANA National Money Show and the World’s Fair of Money
• Opportunity to attend the Summer Seminar in Colorado Springs
• Discounts on books and coin-collecting supplies from the Wizard Coin Supply
• Discounts on members-only savings on products and services from a number of well-known companies

For young members, there are several additional great benefits:
• The Dollar project where you will learn why coin collecting is such a great hobby and will have a chance to earn free coins
• The coins for A’s program. You will receive great coins for excellent report cards – just 3 A’s or more
• Participate in the Ancient Coin project and earn ancient coins
• Apply for a partial of full scholarship to attend the Summer Seminar in Colorado Springs. For me this has been a wonderful benefit as I have attended the last four summers
• Participate in the American Early Copper Coin Project. Earn awards such as early American large coins, reference books, supplies and more
• Receive YN dollars for your participation in coin related activities. These YN dollars can then be used in the monthly YN auctions or the annual online YN auction – I have received a lot of great coins with this benefit

One of the best benefits of all is a subscription to the monthly ANA’s membership magazine – The Numismatist.

You have the option of purchasing a Gold, Platinum, or Life Membership. The platinum membership includes the printed version of The Numismatist which will be mailed to you each month or the Gold membership which includes the electronic version of The Numismatist which can be read online.

Choose the best membership choice for you or your child. Discounts are offered to young collectors.

The coin collecting hobby has been a wonderful experience for me over the past eight years and I encourage everyone and especially young people to take some time to get involved in the hobby:

• Go to the bank and purchase rolls and then search them for neat finds.
• Attend a coin show
• Stop by a coin dealers store
• Join a coin club
• Share the hobby with a parent and child. My dad and I spend a great deal of time together because of coin collecting
• Most of all, get involved in the ANA and become a member – Being a member has been an important reason why my enjoyment and passion for the hobby has continued to grow.

Thank you for watching and I hope you join the ANA. Again, please find the membership link below. Print and fill out the membership form and send it directly to the ANA. If you would like more information about becoming a life member, please email me at numismatistkenny@gmail.com.

Early US Silver Coins and the John Reich Collectors Society – Numismatics with Kenny

Early US Silver Coins and the John Reich Collectors Society

This video is an overview of Early U.S. silver coins and the John Reich Collectors Society (JRCS). The JRCS is a group of collectors who study the U.S. gold and silver coins minted prior to the Liberty Seated series. We hold our annual meeting at the ANA World’s Fair of Money and also meet at the winter FUN show in Florida. All meetings include an educational presentation.

Many JRCS members collect early U.S. silver coins by die marriage. These coins were made using an obverse and a reverse die. A die marriage is the unique combination of these 2 dies. The dies were handmade, so each was slightly different. So even though each series has the same basic design, each die marriage is distinctive.

Our members include beginning collectors as well as recognized experts in this field who are happy to share their knowledge about the coins we love. In this video, a few of our members discuss each of the 5 denominations of early U.S. silver coinage: half dimes, dimes, quarters, half dollars, and dollars.

If you would like to learn more about the John Reich Collectors Society, please visit our website at http://www.jrcs.org. You can download a membership application directly from the website. Dues are $25 a year and in return, you will receive 3 issues of the John Reich Journal (JRJ), the official club publication. The Journal contains articles detailing interesting collecting stories, research papers, and censuses, to name a few. Back issues of the JRJ can be found on the Newman Numismatic Portal at http://www.nnp.wustl.edu.

The JRCS also supports an official weekly e-newsletter called the JR Newsletter and can be found at http://www.jr-newsletter.blogspot.com. It’s free to anyone and contains information on upcoming events and new discoveries. It also allows members to keep in touch on a more regular and informal basis. Please consider signing up for the JR Newsletter at jrnewsletter(at)gmail.com.
